For all Technician posts:
Secondary School Certificate (SSC) / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks.
AND (any one of the following):
- ITI certificate / National/State trade certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institution.
- OR 2 years full-time experience as an apprentice trainee in the relevant trade.
- OR 3 years of work experience in the relevant trade in a Ministry/Department/PSU/Autonomous Body under Govt. of India/State/UT.

CSIR CEERI Selection Process
The selection process consists of three stages:
Stage 1: Screening
Online applications will be screened by a duly constituted Screening Committee. The Committee may adopt its own criteria for shortlisting candidates to be called for the Trade Test.
Stage 2: Trade Test (Qualifying)
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Trade Test in the relevant trade. This test is qualifying in nature. Syllabus will be notified on the institute website.
