Eligibility
Only candidates who meet the essential qualifications as per UGC Regulations, 2018 and its amendments, with a good academic record, are eligible to apply.
- For Professor: An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, and a total research score of 120. A minimum of 10 years of teaching/research experience is required.
- For Associate Professor: A Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks, a minimum of 8 years of teaching/research experience, a minimum of 7 publications, and a total research score of 75.
- For Assistant Professor: A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD). NET/SLET/SET is mandatory unless exempted by having a Ph.D. degree as per UGC norms.

CUHP Teaching Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for CUHP Teaching Recruitment involves the following stages:
Step 1: Shortlisting based on Academic/Research Score: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their Academic/Research Score obtained as per Appendix II Table: 2 of UGC Regulations, 2018. Only those fulfilling all essential eligibility criteria will be shortlisted. For Assistant Professor positions, if the number of applications is large, a maximum of 30 candidates per vacancy will be called for the interview.
Step 2: Interview: The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview before a duly constituted Selection Committee. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.
