Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold one of the following mandatory qualifications in the relevant discipline (Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or Computer Science Engineering):

- M.E./M.Tech. with First Division at both the Graduate and Post Graduate level
Candidates holding a degree from a foreign university must obtain an equivalent certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, Delhi. No allied or equivalent engineering discipline is acceptable, and only an M.E./M.Tech. relevant to the candidate’s B.E./B.Tech. discipline will be considered.

DRDO CVRDE JRF Selection Process 2026
The selection process for the Junior Research Fellow post consists of the following stages:
Shortlisting based on Academic Marks – Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. marks for the written test.
Written Test (Objective Type) – Conducted at CVRDE, Avadi, Chennai, after verification of certificates/testimonials. Candidates who do not qualify the written test will not be considered for interview.
Interview – Candidates shortlisted from the written test will be required to attend the interview at CVRDE on the same day.
Note: Any other selection tool/test may additionally be administered at the sole discretion of the Director, CVRDE. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test, interview, or for joining, if selected.
CVRDE JRF Stipend & Tenure 2026
As the fellowship is a research engagement and not a regular government post, the following stipend and tenure terms apply.
