Department of Biotechnology Scientist C Selection Process 2026

The final selection of the candidates will be based on a two-stage process consisting of a computer-based written examination and an interview.

Stage 1: Written Examination

In the written examination, questions will be objective type (Multiple Choice Questions). The paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi) and will consist of two parts.

• Total Questions: 200
• Maximum Marks: 200
• Duration: 120 minutes
• Negative Marking: 1/2 mark for every wrong answer.

Stage 2: Interview

Based on the total marks obtained in the written examination, candidates will be shortlisted for the interview. The number of candidates called for the interview will be five times the number of vacancies.

• Maximum Marks for Interview: 200

Final Merit List

Candidates shall be selected category-wise on the basis of merit as determined by the total marks obtained in the written examination and interview i.e., out of 400 marks.
