Defence Materials & Stores Research & Development Establishment (DMSRDE), Kanpur, has announced a walk-in interview to award Research Associateship and Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs) for a period of two years. Eligible candidates in the fields of Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Science, and Chemical Engineering can appear for the interview on 11th February 2026.

Post-wise Details & Eligibility

1. Research Associateship (Chemistry)

• Vacancies: 01
• Qualification: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Chemistry/Relevant discipline from a recognized university. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also appear.
• Maximum Age: 35 Years (Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC Non-Creamy Layer).

2. Junior Research Fellowship

Vacancies: 02

• Discipline 1 (Chemistry/Material Science/Polymer Science): Post Graduate degree in relevant Basic Sciences in First Division with NET qualification.
• Discipline 2 (Chemical Engg/Material Science & Engg/Polymer Science & Tech):
  • B.E./B.Tech. in relevant discipline in First Division with NET/GATE, OR
  • M.E./M.Tech. in relevant discipline in First Division at both Graduate & Post Graduate levels.

Maximum Age: 28 Years (Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC Non-Creamy Layer).

DMSRDE Fellowship Stipend & Benefits

• Research Associate (RA): ₹67,000/- per month
• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): ₹37,000/- per month (₹42,000/- in the 2nd year on satisfactory progress)
• Contingency Grant:
  • JRF: Up to ₹15,000/- per annum (reimbursement basis), may increase to ₹20,000/- in subsequent years.
  • RA: Up to ₹20,000/- per annum.
• HRA: Eligible as per Government rules.
• Medical Facilities: Available for self through MI Room in the campus.
• Note: DA, CCA, Bonus, Retirement benefits are not applicable.

1. Duly filled Bio-data (format as per notification) with a recent passport-size photograph.
2. Xerox copies of all testimonials.

   • Community Certificate (if applicable)
   • NET/GATE Score Card
   • ID Proof (Voter ID/Aadhaar/PAN/Driving License)
