DMIL Technician Vacancy 2026 & Eligibility
The recruitment is for the post of Technician across various disciplines. The required ITI trades are divided into three groups:
- Group 1: Electrician, Fitter, Ref. & AC Mechanic.
- Group 2: Electronic Mechanic, Information Communication Technology System Maintenance, Information Technology, Computer Hardware and Network Maintenance, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Power Electronics System.
- Group 3: Plumbers, Welders, Carpenters.
Educational Qualification
- Matriculation / Class 12th pass.
- Must have an ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in any of the above-mentioned trades from a Government ITI or Government-aided ITI.
- Minimum Aggregate Marks: The candidate must have secured at least 60% in their ITI.
- Restriction: The ITI must be from Tamil Nadu. Candidates passed out from Private ITI institutes will not be entertained.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years.
- Maximum Age: 33 years (as on 01.10.2026).
- Relaxation: Usual relaxation for reserved category candidates as per Tamil Nadu Government Rules.
Reservation
- 30% horizontal reservation for women candidates.
DMIL Technician Salary & Benefits 2026
- Pay Scale: The selected candidates will be engaged on a Cost to Company (CTC) basis of Rs. 28,165/- per month.
- Inclusions: The consolidated pay includes all other benefits such as Accommodation, Transport, Medical, LTA, Canteen, Insurance, etc. (subject to tax deductions). There is no claim for regularization in the future.
- PF Contribution: Minimum PF as prescribed under the Code on Social Security, 2020, will be deducted, with a matching contribution from DMIL. The accumulation will be paid at the cessation of the contract.
- Leave: 08 days Casual Leave (pro-rata) and 18 days Earned Leave (1.5 EL per completed month of service).

DMIL Technician Selection Process 2026
The selection of candidates shall be based on Merit cum Reservation. The process involves:
- Document Verification.
- Screening Test: This includes a Tamil Language Reading, Writing, and Speaking Proficiency Test, which is qualifying in nature.
- Note: Candidates who studied Tamil Language as a subject in the 10th standard are not required to undergo the Tamil Language Proficiency Test.
- Empanelment: Candidates found suitable will be empaneled for a period of 02 years.
- Pre-Engagement Medical Examination: Empaneled candidates must undergo a medical fitness test as per DMRC standards. (Lasik surgery candidates are not suitable).

DMIL Technician Recruitment 2026: Important Points
- Training Cost Bond: Selected candidates must serve the Corporation for a minimum period of three years. If they leave early, the training cost will be recovered on a pro-rata basis.
- Notice Period: A prior notice of one month is required before seeking resignation, or remuneration in lieu thereof. The engagement can be terminated by the Corporation with 30 days’ notice.
- Deployment: Selected candidates may be deployed in any department as per requirement.
- False Information: If any information provided by the candidate is found false, their candidature will be cancelled at any stage.
- No Right to Employment: The selection does not confer any right to appointment. The candidature is purely provisional and subject to eligibility verification.
