What is the FSSAI Internship Program?
The FSSAI internship program is designed to provide students with unique learning opportunities in various areas of food regulation and food safety administration. Interns are attached to different divisions at FSSAI Headquarters in New Delhi, its Regional Offices (Mumbai, Ghaziabad, Chennai), or National Food Laboratories. How to Apply for FSSAI Internship 2026?
You can apply online for the FSSAI Internship by following the steps given below.
Step 1 – Go to the official FSSAI internship portal: www.fssai.gov.in/internship.
Step 2 – Click on the “Apply Online” option in the header menu.
Step 3 – Fill in the basic details like your name and email ID to save the form. You will receive a unique Application Code.
Step 4 – Log in using the Application Code and your email ID to complete the application form. You can save and edit the form until you finally submit it.
Step 5 – Fill in all the required details, including personal information, educational qualifications (from 10th onwards), and a write-up on your projects, area of interest, and reason for joining FSSAI.
Step 6 – Upload a recent photograph (JPEG/PNG, max 500 KB) and a detailed resume (PDF/Word, max 2 MB).
Step 7 – Carefully review all the information before clicking the “Final Submit” button. No edits will be allowed after final submission.
Step 8 – After final submission, you can view and print the application form for your records. Your Application Code will also be sent to your registered email.
Eligibility Criteria for FSSAI Internship 2026
Before applying, students must ensure they meet the following eligibility requirements.
Enrollment Status: Must be pursuing a full-time Graduate/Post Graduate Degree/higher degree from a recognized Institute within India or abroad. Students who have already completed their courses are not eligible.
Academic Background: Candidates must be pursuing a degree in the relevant fields.

FSSAI Internship Stipend
A stipend of ₹10,000 (Rupees ten thousand only) will be given for the entire internship period to deserving interns. The stipend is not guaranteed for all and is paid based on the recommendation of the attached division, considering:

- (b) Assessment by reporting officers
- (c) Evaluation of the final report by the Divisional Head/Director.
