- Visit www.hal-india.co.in, go to the Careers Section, and click the link “SELECTION OF DESIGN TRAINEE/MANAGEMENT TRAINEE – 2026” to register and select the post applied for.
- Enter and re-enter a valid email ID for OTP-based registration; ensure the email remains active for the entire selection cycle.
- Fill in the Eligibility Details and upload the photograph. Note that Eligibility Details, once submitted, cannot be edited. A unique Application Number will be generated.
- Fill in the Personal & Qualification Details, using the “Edit” option to make corrections before final submission.

What is the Selection Process for HAL Design Trainee/Management Trainee Recruitment 2026
Selection comprises an Online Computer-Based Selection Test on an All-India basis, followed by a Personal Interview at Bengaluru.
- Online Computer-Based Test: Duration 2.5 hours, comprising Multiple-Choice Questions in three parts — Part I: 20 MCQs on General Awareness, Part II: 40 MCQs on English & Reasoning, and Part III: 100 MCQs on the concerned discipline. The test can be taken in Hindi or English, as chosen at the time of applying (cannot be changed later). Candidates choose up to three preferred cities for the test centre.

Placement & Emoluments
Selected candidates will be posted in Production, Overhaul, or Service Divisions/Research & Design Centres/Offices, based on Company requirements, and will undergo a 52-week training programme comprising theoretical and on-the-job training modules. During training, Trainees will draw a stipend comprising Basic Pay of ₹50,000/-, Variable Dearness Allowance, and Canteen Allowance, along with Bachelor Accommodation. On successful completion of training, Trainees will be absorbed as Engineers in the Grade-II Scale of Pay of ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000/-, with eligibility for Variable DA, perks under the Cafeteria system, Company Accommodation/HRA, Performance Related Pay, Medical Facilities, Provident Fund, Gratuity, and other superannuation benefits.
