Headquarters Southern Naval Command, Kochi is recruiting 110 Chargeman (Radio/Electrical), Lascar, Topaz, Library and Information, Pest Control Worker, Civilian Motor Driver, Fitter, Painter, Mechanic, Supervisor, Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) and Etc. The engagement will be for various units located at Kochi, Aluva, Ezhimala, Coimbatore, Lakshadweep, etc under Southern Naval Command. Educational qualification norms and brief details are given below —
1. Chargeman (Electrical): 2 Nos. (SC—1; ST—1)
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry OR a Diploma in Engineering in the appropriate discipline.
Age: 18yrs to 25yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-
2. Chargeman (Air Electrical): 1 Nos. (SC)
Qualification & Age: Ex-Servicemen/ Retired Officer (See below given PDF file)

4. Lascar: 3 Nos. (Gen—1; OBC—1)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and 03yrs service on a ship/ craft
Age: 18 to 37yrs
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1800/-
5. Topaz: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and must know Swimming

6. Library and Information Assistant: 1 Nos. (ST)
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and Bachelor’s of Library Science or equivalent.
Age: 18 to 25yrs

7. Pest Control Worker: 7 Nos. (Gen—2; SC—3; ST—2)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and ability to read and speak Hindi or Regional language

8. Civilian Motor Driver (OG): 6 Nos. (Gen—2; ST—3; OBC—1)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and must possess a Driving Licence for Heavy Vehicles and Motor cycles as well as shall have two years driving experience in Heavy vehicles.
Age: 18 to 25yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1900/-
9. Electronic Fitter (SK): 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with knowledge of English and should have Apprenticeship training in the trade.

10. Electrical Fitter (SK): 9 Nos. (Gen—4; SC—1; ST—1; OBC—3)

12. Mechanic Air Electrical (SK): 9 Nos. (Gen—4; SC—1; ST—1; OBC—3)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with knowledge of English and should have Apprenticeship training in the trade OR 02 years service/ experience in the trade.
Age: 18 to 32yrs.

13. Mechanic ‘Air Radio’ (SK): 8 Nos. (Gen—4; SC—1; ST—2; OBC—1)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with knowledge of English and should have Apprenticeship training in the trade OR 02 years service/ experience in the trade.
Age: 18 to 32yrs.

14. Supervisor Grade-III (Canteen): 1 Nos. (SC)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent examination with one year Diploma in Book Keeping/ Store keeping Cash Accounting OR equivalent. Candidate shall have 3 years experience in the trade.
Age: 18 to 27yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1900/-
15. Fitter Auto Electric (SK): 1 Nos. (SC)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and 02 years experience as an Electrician in an Automobile Workshop.
Age: 18 to 32yrs.

16. Multi Tasking Staff: 53 Nos. (Gen—29; OBC—14; SC—7; ST—3)
Qualification: Class 10 pass / Matriculation pass.
Age: 18 to 25yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1800/-
Upper age relaxation: Age mentioned above will be taken as on last date of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Practical/ Physical test (wherever applicable) and Interview. Selected candidate will be posted anywhere in India.
