Department of Income Tax, West Bengal — The Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCA), Kolkata, is inviting application from the Meritorious Sportsperson (eligible game listed below) for the posts of – Inspector, Tax Assistant, Notice Server and Multi Tasking Staff. Total vacancies—20 Nos. qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below —
1. Inspector: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Degree from a recognized University in any discipline
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4600
Age Limit: 18yrs to 27yrs.
2. Tax Assistant: 5 Nos.
Qualification: Degree from recognized University and Data Entry Speed of 8000 key depression per hour.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2400/-
Age Limit: 18yrs to 27yrs.
3. Notice Server: 7 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/-
Age Limit: 18yrs to 27yrs.
4. Multi Tasking Staff: 7 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1800/-
Age Limit: 18yrs to 25yrs.
Upper age relaxation for OBC—5yrs; SC/ST—10yrs. Age will be counted as on 31/07/2013.
Sports Eligibility:
Candidates must have represented the Country or State in an International Competition/ National Competition OR have represented their University/ Schools in Tournaments OR Sportspersons who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.
The list of acceptable Games/ Sports for the recruitment purpose is as follows —
1. Athletics (including Track & Field events); Eligible – both Men and Women.
2. Basketball; Eligible—Men only.
3. Cricket; Eligible—Men only.
4. Football; Eligible—Men only.
5. Kabaddi; Eligible—Men only.
6. Volleyball; Eligible—Men only.
The posts are purely temporary but likely to be permanent. The probation period is of 2 years.
The selection of the candidates will be through Interview-cum-Personality test. Qualified shortlisted candidates will be required to appear in the Ground/ Proficiency Test (Field trial) for final selection. For the post of Tax Assistant, candidates will have to qualify in the Computer Skill Test.

Candidates must paste passport size photo duly attested by Gazetted Officer, on the application form.

Candidates applying more than one post; each post must be superscribed on the top of the envelope.
