INDIAN COAST GUARD INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR POSTS OF ASSISTANT COMMANDANT (GENERAL DUTY, GENERAL DUTY (PILOT) AND PILOT (CPL)). LAST DATE — 02/07/2017
1. ASSISTANT COMMANDANT -GENERAL DUTY
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree / BE/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks. Candidates should have studied Math and Physics as subject up to intermediate or class XII with 60% aggregate marks in Math and Physics.
Age Limit: Born Between- 01/07/1993 to 30/06/1997.
2. ASSISTANT COMMANDANT -GENERAL DUTY (PILOT)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree / BE/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks. Candidates should have Math and Physics as subject up to intermediate or class XII with 60% aggregate marks in Math and Physics.
Age Limit: Born Between- 01/07/1993 to 30/06/1999.
3. ASSISTANT COMMANDANT – PILOT (CPL)
Educational Qualification: 12th pass with 60% marks in aggregate and should possess current / valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued / Validated by DGCA.
Age Limit: Born Between- 01/07/1993 to 30/06/1999.
Note: Only candidates cleared their final year/ final semester exams and completed their degree are to apply.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 157 cm and 162.5 cm (for Assistant Commandant Pilot and CPL holder); Chest (unexpanded) — well proportionate; Chest (expanded) — minimum 5 cms; Weight — As per Height and Age.
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Preliminary Selection consists (Mental Ability Test / Cognitive Aptitude Tests and Picture Perception and Discussion Test) and Final Selection consists (Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview).
Preliminary Selection Examination will be held at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Nodia.
Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Indian Coast Guard — www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in
