INDIAN COAST GUARD INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR THE POSTS OF NAVIK (DOMESTIC BRANCH (COOK & STEWARD)) 10TH ENTRY- 01/2019 BATCH. LAST DATE — 29/10/2018
NAVIK (DOMESTIC BRANCH (COOK & STEWARD))
Educational Qualification: 10th Class from a recognized Board with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ Outstanding Sports Person/ Ward of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 22 years as on 01/04/2019.
Basic Pay: Rs.21700/- per month.
Only Male candidates are eligible to apply. PWD candidates are not eligible to apply for the above post.
The basic training will commence from the month of April 2019 at INS Chilka followed by sea training and professional training in the allotted trade.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 157 cms; Chest — Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.; Weight — Proportionate to height and age.
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to hilly areas and tribal areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and
Medical Examination. The examination will be held at the following centres – Noida, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai and Gandhi Nagar. The examination/ test will be scheduled during the month of end November 2018.
Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Indian Coast Guard — www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in
