IOCL Apprentice Selection Process 2026

There is no written test or interview for IOCL Apprentice 2026. Selection happens in four stages:

  1. Merit list: Prepared on the percentage of marks in the essential qualification for the post.
  2. Document verification: Shortlisted candidates are called to an IOCL unit or office.
  3. Pre-engagement medical test: Candidates must meet IndianOil’s medical fitness guidelines.
  4. Offer of engagement: Issued to candidates whose documents and medical certificate are in order.

Note: Unfilled seats may be offered to the next eligible candidates from the panel-cum-merit list.

IOCL Apprentice Stipend and Training Period 2026

  • Training Period: 12 months.
  • Stipend: Paid monthly at the rate prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprentices Rules 1992/2019/2025, as amended.
  • Note: IOCL has no obligation to offer permanent employment after the training ends.

  1. Register on the relevant portal and complete your profile 100% (personal, educational and category details).
  2. Log in with your User ID or Email ID.
  3. Search for the IOCL (Marketing Division) Western Region establishment ID given above.
  4. Apply for only one discipline code in a Western Region state; choosing locations outside these states leads to rejection.
  5. Submit the application and keep the same email ID and mobile number active until training ends.
