The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examination from April 2 to April 8, 2026, for candidates aspiring to secure admission into top engineering institutes including NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, as well as to qualify for JEE Advanced 2026. With the exam now concluded, candidates are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the result.

The NTA is scheduled to release the JEE Main Session 2 results today, April 20, 2026, on its official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who qualify will become eligible for JEE Advanced 2026, the gateway to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

The NTA initiated the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 process earlier this year, with 11,10,904 candidates registered and 10,34,330 candidates appeared across 584 unique examination centers in 319 cities, including 15 cities outside India (Manama, Doha City, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, Kuwait, Kuala Lumpur, Kathmandu, Abu Dhabi, West Java, Washington, Lagos, Munich, and Dammam).

The examination was conducted in 9 shifts across 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu). The NTA has released the final answer keys and results based on them. For candidates who appeared in both sessions (January and April), the best NTA score of the two sessions has been declared.

The scorecard will contain the candidate’s raw scores, normalized percentile, All India Rank (AIR), and qualifying status for JEE Advanced 2026. Along with the result, the final answer key and category-wise cut-off percentiles will also be released.

Steps to Download JEE Main Session 2 Result 2026

After the NTA declares the result of the April session, candidates can follow the steps given below to check their result:

  1. First, open the official website of JEE Main: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  2. On the homepage, click on the tab labeled “JEE Main 2026 Session Two Scorecard”.
  3. Then, under the candidate’s section, click on Candidate Login.
  4. Now, enter your valid Application Number and Password/Date of Birth as provided during registration.
  5. Then click on the Login/Submit button.
  6. Your JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Result will be displayed on the screen.
  7. Download and save the result on your device. Print multiple copies for future admission and counseling purposes.

JEE Main Scorecard 2026

Once the result is published, the NTA will activate the link to the candidate’s detailed scorecard on its official website. Candidates who attended the April session will be able to access their scorecard by using their application number and password. The JEE Main 2026 scorecard will include:

  • Subject-wise raw marks (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)

After JEE Advanced results, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct counseling for admission into 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 26 IIITs, and 33 GFTIs.
