The University of Jammu has already released JKSET Syllabus 2025 on it’s official website and it can still be found in the official notification where the syllabus has been clearly described by the organization. The Exam for the Jammu & Kashmir State Eligibility Test was scheduled on May 11, 2025. Later, it has been postponed due to some security concerns of the candidates and the on going tensions between India and Pakistan.
The University of Jammu will announce the new timeline for the JKSET Exam 2025 on it’s official website. You will be able to download your admit card for the JKSET 2025 Exam after the announcement of the New Exam Date.
The JKSET Syllabus 2025 is divided into two parts, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is common for all candidates coming from the different stream but the Paper 2 Exam consists of 41 different subjects.
The JKSET Exam will be conducted in 3 key areas of the Region and the key regions are Jammu Region, Kashmir Region and the Ladakh Region.
The main purpose of the JKSET Exam as per the University of Jammu is to select the most suitable and eligible candidates for the Position of Assistant Professor in the Colleges and University of Jammu and Kashmir. JKSET Syllabus 2025 General Overview
If your aim is to become an assistant professor in the Jammu & Kashmir Region, you have to first download the JKSET syllabus 2025 and go through the whole syllabus for a couple of times. Because, without knowing the Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Selection Criteria and the Proper Self-Preparation-Strategy, you can not even start your preparation.
The Paper 1 consists of 10 Topics which includes of Teaching Aptitude, Research Aptitude, Comprehension, Communication, Mathematical Reasoning and Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Date Interpretation, Information and Communication Technology, People, Development and Environment, and Higher Education System etc.
The Paper 1 carrying 50 questions totaling 100 marks and the Paper 2 consists of 100 questions carrying 200 marks in total. The Paper 2 is of subject specific from which candidates completed their Graduation or PG Degree.
JKSET Exam Pattern 2025-26
The JKSET 2025 Exam contains two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Exam will be conducted offline which means, you have to attend questions in Pen-Paper Mode not on a computer. The Paper 1 is common for all and the exam will start at 10 AM. It will be concluded 11 AM. That Means, you will get 1 hour to finish the exam. Paper 2 will start at 11:30 AM and concluded at 1:30 PM.
In Paper 1 there will total 50 questions and in Paper 2, there will be 100 Questions. Each correct answer will give you 2 marks. There is no negative marking in the exam. So, you don’t need to fear of loosing any marks if you make wrong answers.
The Paper will be set both in Hindi and English Language but for Language Subjects, it will be in that specific language.
