Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata is recruiting eligible candidates for 03 posts of Project Linked Person. The candidates will be appointed on Temporary basis for a period upto 31st March, 2019 in the Electronics & Communication Sciences Unit of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata for the following projects entitled “Estimation of Ball Possession Statistics in Soccer Video”, “Development of Automated Coal Petrography using Machine Learning” and “Identifying Martensite and Bainite Phases in Dual Phase Steel”. Interested and eligible candidates may appear directly for the Walk-in-Interview along with prescribed application/testimonials on below mentioned scheduled dates and venue. INDIAN STATISTICAL INSTITUTE KOLKATA WILL CONDUCT WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR 03 POSTS OF PROJECT LINKED PERSON. WALK-IN DATE — 27/07/2018

 

PROJECT LINKED PERSON
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (01 post for each project)

 

Educational Qualification:

i) M.Sc in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Mathematics/ Statistics, or B.E/ B.Tech, or equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering/ Information Technology or related subject.
ii) Proficiency in Computer Programming.

Desirable: i) M.E/ M.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Electrical/ Information Technology or more than one year research experience in Machine Learning and/ or Image/ Video Processing/ Analysis or related areas.
ii) Programming skill in C, Python/ Matlab.

 

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 01/07/2018.

 

Consolidated Pay: Rs.20,000/- to Rs.30,000/- per month.

 

The candidates will be appointed on Temporary basis for a period upto 31st March, 2019 in the Electronics & Communication Sciences Unit of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata for the following projects entitled “Estimation of Ball Possession Statistics in Soccer Video”, “Development of Automated Coal Petrography using Machine Learning” and “Identifying Martensite and Bainite Phases in Dual Phase Steel”.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview.
