1. TRADE APPRENTICE/ ATTENDANT OPERATOR (CHEMICAL PLANT)- CHEMICAL
No. of Vacancies: 36 Nos. (UR-18, SC-08, ST-02, OBC-08. Out of the total posts, 01 post is reserved for PWD)
Educational Qualification: Three years B.Sc (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and PWD category candidates) in aggregate.
2. TRADE APPRENTICE (FITTER)- MECHANICAL
No. of Vacancies: 12 Nos. (UR-06, SC-03, OBC-03. Out of the total posts, 01 post is reserved for PWD)
Educational Qualification: Matric with two years ITI (Fitter) course.
3. TRADE APPRENTICE (BOILER)- MECHANICAL
No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos. (UR-02, SC-01, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: Three years B.Sc (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
4. TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE- CHEMICAL
No. of Vacancies: 36 Nos. (UR-18, SC-08, ST-02, OBC-08)
Educational Qualification: Three years Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Refinery & Petrochemicals Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and PWD category candidates) in aggregate.
5. TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE- MECHANICAL
No. of Vacancies: 18 Nos. (UR-09, SC-04, ST-01, OBC-04. Out of the total posts, 01 post is reserved for PWD)
Educational Qualification: Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and PWD category candidates) in aggregate.
6. TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE- ELECTRICAL
No. of Vacancies: 16 Nos. (UR-08, SC-04, ST-01, OBC-03. Out of the total posts, 01 post is reserved for PWD)
Educational Qualification: Three years full time Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and PWD category candidates) in aggregate.
7. TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE- INSTRUMENTATION
No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos. (UR-03, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: Three years Diploma in Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
Age Limit for all the trades: Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 31.10.2018.
Note:
i) Candidates possessing professional qualifications such as BE/ B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA etc. or any such equivalent qualification are not be eligible to apply.
ii) Candidates who have undergone Apprenticeship Training in the past or have been pursuing Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act are not eligible.
iii) Candidates possessing Diploma in Engineering and have undergone a training or job experience for a period of one year or more after the attainment of the qualification, are not be eligible for being engaged as Technician Apprentice.
iv) Candidates who have completed three years after acquiring the prescribed qualification are also not be eligible for engagement as Technician Apprentices.
The candidates will undergo apprenticeship training for a period of One/ Two years under Apprentices Act 1961/ 1973 in the above mentioned trades at Haldia Refinery.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test and Personal Interview. The tentative date of Written Test is 18/11/2018. Personal Interview will be held tentatively from 03/12/2018 to 07/12/2018.
