JUNIOR TRAINEE- MECHANICAL
No. of Vacancies: 664 Nos.
Branch wise vacancies:
i) Mechanical: 344 posts (UR-174, OBC-103, SC-59, ST-08)
ii) Electrical: 203 posts (UR-105, OBC-58, SC-34, ST-06)
iii) Metallurgy: 98 posts (UR-49, OBC-29, SC-19, ST-01)
iv) Instrumentation: 19 posts (UR-10, OBC-05, SC-03, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Matric / SSC with full time ITI in relevant branch with 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates) / Diploma in Engineering in relevant branch with 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 01.07.2018.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.10,700/- for 1st year & Rs.12,200/- for 2nd year per month.
Note: Intermediate, B.Sc, B.Com and BA are also eligible to apply. Candidates with higher qualifications are not eligible to apply.
Preference will be given to Displaced Persons (DPs) of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP).
The selected candidates will undergo training for a period of Two years.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 150 cms; Chest (unexpanded) — 75 cms; Chest (expanded) — 80 cms; Weight — 45 kgs
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 143 cms; Chest — 75 cms; Chest (expanded) — 80 cms; Weight — 35 kgs
Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Online Computer Based Test, Certificate Verification and Medical Examination. Online Test will be held at Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kakinada, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Vijayanagaram.
