KEA Municipal Administration Group-C Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification
- Water Supply Operator: Must have passed SSLC or an equivalent examination; must hold an ITI two-year course certificate in Electrical or Fitter Trade from a recognized Industrial Training Institute resulting in a National Trade Certificate (NTC); and must have completed one year of Apprenticeship Training resulting in a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).
- Electrician Grade-1: Must have passed SSLC or an equivalent examination; must have passed a two-year course in Electrical Trade from a recognized ITI resulting in NTC; and must have completed one year of Apprenticeship Training resulting in NAC.
- Assistant Water Supply Operator: Must have passed SSLC or its equivalent examination; and must have passed a two-year course in Electrical or Fitter Trade from a recognized ITI resulting in NTC.
- Electrician Grade-2: Must have passed SSLC or its equivalent examination; and must have passed a two-year course in Electrical Trade from a recognized ITI resulting in NTC.
SSLC Equivalent Qualifications Recognized
As per Government Order No. ಸಿಆಸು 81 ಸೇವನೆ 2017 dated 27.02.2018, the following are also recognized as equivalent to SSLC:
- Class 10 examinations conducted by CBSE and ICSE boards.
- Class 10 examinations conducted by other State Government examination boards.
- Secondary education level courses conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
- Secondary education level courses conducted by the Karnataka State Examination Board.

KEA Municipal Administration Group-C Recruitment 2026 Kannada Language Requirement
- Candidates who have studied Kannada as a first or second language between Classes 1 to 10, or have passed a Kannada Language Test conducted by the Karnataka Government or authorized bodies, are exempted from the compulsory Kannada Language Test.
- Candidates who have not studied Kannada up to the 10th standard or passed the prescribed Kannada test must appear for and qualify a compulsory Kannada Language Test, which is of qualifying nature. Such candidates must score a minimum of 50 out of 150 marks in this test, failing which they will not be considered eligible for recruitment.
Selection Process
Selection to the above posts will be made through a Competitive Examination, conducted either in Online (Computer Based Test – CBT) or Offline (OMR-based) mode, as decided by the Authority.
- Details of examination centers will be intimated to candidates in advance through the Authority’s official website.
- Candidates must carry a valid original photo ID (PAN Card, Driving License, Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Government Employee ID) to the examination center, along with the downloaded admit card.
- No request for change of examination center will be entertained under any circumstances.
