Kerala PSC Police Constable 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Pass in HSE (Plus Two) or its equivalent.
- Note: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable. Equivalent qualifications declared by the Government will be accepted.
Age Limit
- 18 – 33 Years. Candidates born between 02.01.1993 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) are eligible to apply.
- Age Relaxation: The upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 45 years for Ex-servicemen. Other age relaxations are not applicable to this selection.
Physical Qualifications
(i) Height: A minimum of 168 cm.
(ii) Chest: A minimum of 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.
(iii) Eye Sight: Must possess the following visual standards without glasses:
- Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen (Right Eye), 6/6 Snellen (Left Eye)
- Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen (Right Eye), 0.5 Snellen (Left Eye)
- Each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid condition of the eye will be a disqualification.
- Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular/protruding teeth, defective speech, and hearing.
(iv) Physical Efficiency Test: Must qualify in any five events out of eight of the National Physical Efficiency, One Star Standard Test.

This is a special recruitment drive for a backlog vacancy (NCA – Non-Creamy Layer) reserved for the LC/AI community. The selection will be made on a battalion-wise basis. Candidates appointed to the battalion will be allowed transfer only to the concerned District Armed Reserves.

- Written Test/OMR Test/Online Test (if conducted).
- Physical Measurement & Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates must produce a Medical Certificate in the prescribed format from a Government Medical Officer (not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant) at the time of the Physical Efficiency Test.

- Upload a photograph taken within six months (name and date of photo taken should be printed at the bottom). The photo will be valid for 10 years.
