Educational Qualification: Class-VIII.
Preference would be given to the applicants who have done well in sports and have experience as NCC Cadet / Boy Scouts / NSS Guide / Civil Defence Volunteers etc.
Candidates should not have any criminal record against him / her in any Police Station and e physically and mentally fit.
Preferably a resident of the area under the Police Station / Unit/ Traffic Guard/ DRO/ PHE where they will be deployed.
Age Limit: Minimum-20 years and maximum-60 years as on 01/09/2017
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Interview. Interview will be held at their
concerned DC Office. Volunteer will have to undergo a 2 weeks training course organized by D.C., H.G.O., Kolkata Police.
Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Kolkata Police – www.kolkatapolice.gov.in

Application form can be collected from the respective Police Stations/Traffic Guard/ D.R.O./Unit/ PHE and are required to submit application for one unit only. Form can be also downloaded from website of Kolkata police.
The envelope containing the print-out/enclosures should be superscribed on top with — “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CIVIC VOLUNTEER”
Last Date and Address: The duly filled Application form along with enclosures should be submitted personally in the Drop box kept in the concerned P.S/TP Guard/DRO/ unit office for which the applicant is willing to submit their application., on or before 06/11/2017.
No application will be received through Speed post/Registered post.
