The LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation (GJF) has released the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2026 notification at its official website. The scheme awards scholarships to meritorious students belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), to provide them better opportunities for higher education and employment.
Online applications are being accepted through LIC’s official website. The last date to submit the online application is 30th Sep 2026. Candidates should check the eligibility criteria, scholarship amount, and application process before applying.

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2026 Out
The scholarship covers students studying in India in a Government or Private college/university, including technical and vocational courses in ITIs/ITCs affiliated with NCVT, and Integrated Courses after Class XII. Scholarships are of two types — General Scholarship (after Class 12th/Diploma) and Special Scholarship (after Class 10th).

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2026 Number of Scholarships
Each of the 112 Divisional Offices of LIC will select 120 students in total, comprising:

Gender slots are interchangeable in the event of an intra-category shortage. Selection is based on merit (percentage of marks in Class 12th/10th, as applicable) within each Divisional area.
How to Apply for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2026?
Only online applications are accepted; hard copies are not required and will not be considered.
- Visit https://licindia.in and use the link on the home page for the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2026.
- Fill in all fields of the online application; all fields are mandatory.
- Students who passed under CBSE or any Board with a Grading System should enter the percentage equivalent to their grades.
- Provide accurate and active Bank Account details, as the scholarship (if selected) is credited via NEFT.
- Provide an active mobile number and valid email ID, as all future communication will be through these channels only.
- Upload the Income Certificate of parents, mark sheet of the last qualifying exam, and proof of 1st year admission in the current academic year (image size not exceeding 2MB).
- Review all details carefully before clicking Submit; no further correspondence regarding application status will be entertained.
- On successful submission, an acknowledgement email will be sent with the application number and the name of the Divisional Office handling the application.

In case of a tie in marks, preference is given to students whose parents have lower income; if the tie persists, selection is based on a financial assessment report by LIC officials. As a rule, only one student per family is awarded the scholarship, though this may be relaxed for a second female applicant in the family.
LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2026 Key Conditions
- The scheme does not cover post-graduation studies, except for Integrated Courses combining Graduation and Post-Graduation.
- Candidates already receiving a scholarship from another Trust/Institution are not eligible (this restriction does not apply to Government scholarships).
- Candidates pursuing courses through Correspondence, Part-Time (Evening/Night), Open Universities, or self-study courses (CA/CS/ICMAI) are not eligible.
- To continue receiving the General Scholarship under Medicine/Engineering, candidates must secure at least 55% marks (or equivalent SGPA/CGPA) and pass all subjects each semester.
- To continue receiving the General Scholarship under Graduation (Arts/Science/Commerce) and other courses, candidates must secure at least 50% marks (or equivalent SGPA/CGPA) and pass all subjects each semester.
- To continue receiving the Special Scholarship, candidates must secure at least 50% marks with a pass in all subjects in the 1st Yearly examination.
- Candidates who pass any subject with Grace Marks, or clear a failed subject in a subsequent semester, become ineligible for continuation of the scholarship (except in cases of extreme/unavoidable circumstances, subject to verification).
- Scholarship recipients changing school/college must immediately notify the respective Divisional Office and submit their exit documents.
- Claims for scholarship arrears will not be accepted if submitted more than 12 months after the end of the relevant academic year.
- Violation of any terms and conditions, or obtaining the scholarship through false statements/certificates, may result in suspension, cancellation, and recovery of the amount paid.
