MCL Selection Process 2026

The selection process for MCL 2026 recruitment is provided below. It highlights the major phases that the candidate has to go through before finally joining the post.

Computer Based Test (CBT) Only: The selection will be based on a Computer Based Test. No personal interview will be held.

CBT Pattern: Objective type questions with multiple choice answers. No negative marking.

  • Section A: General Awareness/Aptitude – 20 questions (1 mark each)
  • Section B: Technical Knowledge – 80 questions (1 mark each)
  • Total: 100 marks

Qualifying Marks:

General/EWS: 45 marks (45%)

OBC (NCL): 35 marks (35%)

SC/ST: 40 marks (40%)

Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for document verification in the ratio of 1:3 based on merit order of marks secured in CBT.

Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents/certificates.

Provisional Select List: After document verification, a provisional select list will be published on the website.

Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates will undergo an Initial Medical Examination (IME). Those found unfit will be disqualified.

Validity of Panel: The validity of the merit panel will be for 01 year or as per extant Govt. guidelines.
