NARL JRF Eligibility Criteria
The Junior Research Fellow positions are meant for candidates aspiring to pursue research leading to a Ph.D. degree.
Essential Qualifications:
- Post Graduate degree (M.Sc.) in Physics, Atmospheric Science, Space Physics, Meteorology, Earth System Sciences, Geophysics, Remote Sensing, or Applied Chemistry with Physics/Atmospheric Science/Space Physics/Meteorology as the major subject.
- Minimum 65% aggregate marks (average of all semesters) or equivalent CGPA/CPI from a recognized university.
OR:
- M.E./M.Tech degree in Electronics Engineering, Communication Engineering, Optical Engineering, Photonics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks (average of all semesters) or equivalent CGPA/CPI from a recognized university.
AND (For both options):
- Must have qualified in CSIR-UGC NET / GATE / JAM / JEST.
Age Limit: Preferably 28 years as on the last date of application (April 27, 2026). Age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, and PwD candidates as per Government of India rules.
Note: Candidates appearing in their final year examinations are also eligible to apply but must produce final year marks sheet/P.G. degree certificate at the time of interview.

Selection Process

- Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic qualifications and valid NET/GATE/JAM/JEST scores.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
