NBEMS Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The NBEMS Recruitment 2026 selection process differs slightly by post group.

For Deputy Director (Medical) and Junior Programmer: The scheme and syllabus of examination will be intimated shortly on the NBEMS website.

For Junior Accountant, Stenographer, and Junior Assistant: The selection process consists of two stages:

  • Stage I – Computer Based Test (CBT): An objective-type test of 200 questions carrying 200 marks, to be completed in 180 minutes (3 hours). There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and 50% for all other candidates.
  • Stage II – Computer Knowledge/Skill Test: Carries 100 marks with a duration of 75 minutes, and includes Data Entry, Word Processing, Computer Operation, or Stenography, depending on the post applied for. Five candidates per vacancy, per category, based on Stage-I merit, will be called for Stage-II. The minimum qualifying marks here are also 40% for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and 50% for others.

There will be no interview for Group B and Group C posts.
