NITTTR Chennai MTS and Technical Assistant Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility requirements to be considered for the recruitment:
1. Technical Assistant Gr. I (Junior Engineer – Civil)
Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
- OR Diploma in Civil Engineering with 8 years of professional experience.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 40 years.
Desirable: Experience in supervising civil construction/maintenance, knowledge of RCC design, and computer proficiency (tendering).
2. Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
- Essential Qualification: Passed School Final (Class X) or its equivalent.
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years.
- Desirable: One year of experience in a Government, Quasi-Government, or autonomous educational organization.

Selection Process
The selection process is designed to test both theoretical knowledge and practical skills:
- For MTS: The process involves a Skill Test (Qualifying Nature) followed by a Written Test (CBT or OMR based). Candidates must choose three skill categories (e.g., Driving, Electrical, Plumbing, Gardening) for the practical assessment.
- For Technical Assistant: Selection is based on performance in a Written Test focused on domain knowledge (Civil Engineering).
