Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU), a premier State Open University in India recognized by UGC and NAAC accredited with Grade A, has invited online applications for admission to its 4-year Undergraduate programmes in accordance with NEP 2020, as well as various Post Graduate programmes and the Bachelor of Library & Information Science (BLIS). Eligible Indian nationals can apply online through the University’s dedicated admission portals for the Academic Year 2026-27.

NSOU Admission Notification 2026-27 Out
The UG Admission Notice (Reg/0597) and the PG & BLIS Admission Notification (Memo No. Reg/0598) have been released by Netaji Subhas Open University on 17th July 2026. The UG programmes are notified as per approval of UGC-DEB vide File No. 8-4/2025 (DEB-NR) dated 09.09.2025, while the PG & BLIS programmes are notified as per approval of UGC-DEB vide File No. 30-22/2023 (DEB-II) dated 16.06.2023 and 05.12.2023. The minimum duration of any UG programme is 4 years from the year of registration, with 4 exit points where learners can leave with a certificate after completing each assessment stage.

NSOU Admission 2026-27 – Steps to Apply
Applicants have to complete 7 online steps for the UG admission process (the PG/BLIS process follows a similar structure):
- Registration — Register on the admission website; note down the Application ID and Password.
- Application Form Fill-up — Log in and complete the application form; save the application.
- Select Course & Mode of SLM — Choose the intended programme and Learner Support Centre (LSC); once selected, these cannot be changed.
- Upload Documents — Upload photograph, signature and all requisite documents in .JPG format only (Photograph & Signature: within 50 KB; 10+2 Marksheet: within 150 KB; other documents: within 100 KB each).
- Verification of Online Application — The University verifies eligibility and updates the status as “Verified & Approved,” “Verified & To Be Reviewed,” or “Verified & Rejected.”
- Payment of Programme Fee — Pay online (Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking) or offline via Bank Challan at any Indian Bank, once the application is approved.
- DEB ID Verification & Anti-Ragging Undertaking — Submit and verify the DEB ID, and submit the Anti-Ragging Undertaking Reference Number obtained from www.antiragging.in.
