Ordnance Depot Fort Allahabad requires 159 Chargeman II, Male Nurse, Pharmacist, LDC, Storekeeper, Fireman, Etc. Last Dt. 11/05/2013

Ordnance Depot Fort Allahabad is inviting application from eligible candidates for 159 various posts of – Chargeman II, Male Nurse, Pharmacist, LDC, Storekeeper, Tel. Operator, Fireman, Cook, Messenger, Safaiwala, Barber, Washerman and Mazdoor. Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is provided below —

1. Chargeman II: 2 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: B.SC /03 years diploma in Engineering Or Suitable Junior Commission Officer/Ex-Junior Commission Officer with 15 years service as a combatant, at least three years service as a Subedar in the requisite trade.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade pay: Rs.4200.

2. Male Nurse: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: 10+2 and Registration with the Medical or Nursing Council of the State/ All India Body as a Nurse.
Pay Scale: Rs.9 300—34800 and Grade pay: Rs.4200

3. Pharmacist (Entry Grade): 1 Nos. (gen)
Qualification: 10+2 Plus 02 years diploma in Pharmacy and registration with State Pharmacy Council.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2800

4. Lower Division Clerk: 38 Nos. (Gen—27; SC—4; ST—00; OBC—7). Out of them, PH—1nos., Ex-serviceman—3 and Meritorious sportsperson—1
Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent and Speed not less than 35 words per minute in typewriting in English or 30 words per minute in typewriting in Hindi on computer.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900

5. Store Keeper: 10 Nos. (Gen—5; SC—2; OBC—3). Out of them 1nos for PH, 1nos for Ex-serviceman and 1nos for Meritorious sportsperson.
Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent. One year experience in similar work is desirable
Pay Scale: Rs.5 200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900

6. Telephone Operator: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with English as compulsory subject. Candidates must have proficiency in PBX board.
Fluency in English speaking is desirable.
Pay Scale: Rs.5 200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900

7. Fireman: 7 Nos. (Gen), Male candidates only.
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the endurance test specified below:-
Height: 165 cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates)
Chest (Un expanded/ Expanded): 81.5/ 85 cms
Weight: 50 kgs (minimum)
Endurance Test for the post of Fireman: —
(i) Carrying a man (fireman lift) of 63.5 kgs to a distance of 183 mtr within 96 seconds.
(ii) Clearing 2.7 mtr wide ditch landing on both feet (long jump).
(iii) Climbing 3 mtr vertical rope using hands and feet.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900

8. Cook: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and knowledge in Indian cooking with proficiency.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900

9. Messenger: 5 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent. Desirable—One year experience is desired.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1800

10. Safaiwala: 9 Nos. (Gen—8; OBC—1). Out of the PH—1nos and Ex-serviceman—1
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent. Desirable—One year experience is desired.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1800

11. Barber: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and proficiency in the trade. Desirable – One year experience is desired.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1800

12. Washerman: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and able to wash clothes well.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1800

13. Mazdoor: 82 Nos. (Gen—47; SC—20; OBC—15). Out of them PH—4 Nos., Ex-serviceman—13 and Meritorious sportsperson—6
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1800

Age Limits: Between 18yrs to 25yrs as on last date of application form. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST- 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman & any other Categories – As per Govt. norms.

Written Test will be conducted for all posts which will cover following fields — General Intelligence & Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude and General Awareness. 

Only those candidates who secure at least the minimum qualifying marks in written exam as may be fixed by the board at their discretion will be called for skill test (or typing test on comptr in case of LDC).
In case of Fireman, Cook, Messenger, Safaiwala, Barber, Washerman and Mazdoor, the candidates will also have to appear for physical test and practical test as required for the post before appearing for the written test.

Exact date and venue of Written Test and Etc will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course.
Place of Test/ Interview will be at Ordnance Depot Fort Allahabad (UP).

(i) Photocopy of educational certificate duly attested by Gazetted Officer.
(ii) Photocopy of discharge certificate (in case of Ex-serviceman only).
(iv) Caste certificate (in case of reserved categories, SC/ST/OBC).
(v) PH certificate in case of PH candidates.
(vi) Sports certificate for candidates applying in post reserved for Meritorious sportsperson
(vii) One Self-Addressed envelope with affixed postal stamp of Rs.39.

The envelope enclosing the application form is to be boldly enfaced on top with the name of the post applied for and category (like General/ SC/ ST/PH/ EXM/MSP)

Last Date of Application: The Application form along with enclosures must reach on or before 21days from the date of publication of the Advertisement in Employment News (i.e. the last date is 11th May 2013).
