OSSC LTR Teacher Syllabus 2025: Check Exam Pattern & Syllabus Here Now

OSSC LTR Teacher Syllabus 2025 has already been released by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission and it is still available on it’s official website “www.ossc.gov.in”. The LTR 2025 Exam for the recruitment of 6025 Teachers in various streams like Arts, Science and Language Sections has already been finished in the month of May, 2025. Aspirants who are willing to appear for the LTR 2026 Teacher’s Exam are strongly recommended to start their Preparation from now.

The Selection for the Teachers in various government school in odisha will be held into three different stages i.e. Prelims Exam, Mains Exam and Documents Verification. OSSC LTR Teacher Syllabus 2026 Basic Overview

The First Stage of Selection is Preliminary Exam. Questions will be asked from General Knowledge, Reasoning, Current Affairs and Basic Language Skills Section. The Main Purpose of the Prelims exam is to check that are you actually ready to move to the next phase of exam known as “Mains Exam”.

If you can somehow pass the prelims exam, you will be called for the Mains Exam. It’s main purpose is to evaluate your deep knowledge in your chosen subject like Odia, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, or Urdu.

It checks your knowledge of grammar, literature, comprehension and how well you know teaching methods. It also included questions about how to teach students in a easy, modern but a systematic manner.

The syllabus includes topics like the history of the language, grammar rules, poetry, prose, translation, and writing skills. The Syllabus also contains topics like educational psychology and teaching skills.

In order to achieve better score in the exam, you must have deep knowledge in your specialized subject as well as a deep understanding about how to teach students clearly. The next phase of recruitment for the academic year of 2026 will include jobs for teachers in arts, science, languages, and physical education.

OSSC LTR Prelims Exam Pattern 2025-26

The OSSC LTR Teacher Prelims Exam 2025-26 will be held online using a computer in the examination center. There will be multiple-choice questions, which means you have to choose the correct answer from the given options. There will be a total of 100 questions and it will be carrying 100 marks in total.

If you make a right answer, you will get 1 mark. But if you give a wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted from your total marks. Questions in the exam will be set from different subjects.

There will be 30 questions from General Studies but 20 questions will be set each from Arithmetic, Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability, and Computer/Internet Awareness.

A total number of 10 questions will be there from Current Events happening in India as well as all around the world. The exact time duration of the exam will be provided later along with the official notification of the 2026 exam.

How to Prepare for OSSC LTR Teacher Exam at Home? Self-Preparation-Strategy

If you want to achieve better score in the OSSC LTR Exam, you have to study smartly and also you have to stay focused till the exam.

First, you should read the full syllabus carefully for both the preliminary and main exams. Try to understand what topics are important in each subject and make a simple study plan to cover everything on time.

You have to practice previous year question papers so that you can understand the pattern of the exam in detail. This will show you what kind of questions are asked and how to manage your time during the exam.

You have to give more time to the main subjects which is related to the post you are applying for, like Arts, Science or Language. The main reason behind it because these subjects have more questions in the main exam. It carries more weightage than your prelims paper.

You can also make short notes so that you can revise everything in the short form just before the exam day.

You should attend at least one mock test every day so that you can realize where do you stand in terms of others.

Giving mock test daily improves your problem solving ability, increases speed and time management capabilities.

You have to read news papers daily so that you can stay updated about important events in India as well as all around the world.

Finally, don’t forget to revise everything you have studied throughout the week. Because, there is a high chance you would forget what you studied.
