Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed +2 (10+2 system) or its equivalent and hold a Diploma in GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) or B.Sc. Nursing from any recognized Medical College, Hospital, or institution duly approved by the Indian Nursing Council.
Nursing Council Registration:
Candidates must have their name registered in the Nursing Council of the State of Odisha and must possess a valid Registration or Renewal Certificate as on the date of submission of the online application form. The registration certificate must be uploaded online.
Odia Language Proficiency:

OSSSC Nursing Officer Selection Process 2026
The selection process for OSSSC Nursing Officer 2026 consists of the following stages:
Stage 1 – Written Test: MCQ-based written test of 100 marks (OMR/CBRE mode) as detailed above.
Stage 2 – Provisional Merit List: A Provisional Master Merit List will be prepared based on normalized scores secured in the Written Test. Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted for Document Verification at not less than 1.25 times the number of vacancies, category-wise.
Stage 3 – Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates must attend Document Verification before the District Level Board as per the schedule fixed by the Commission. Original documents will be verified by the Chief District Medical & Public Health Officers. Absence from DV will lead to cancellation of candidature.
