1. PRINCIPAL
No. of Vacancies: 154 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) Passed Master’s Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering from a recognized University or Institution with at least 50% marks.
ii) Passed Degree of Bachelor of Education from a recognized University or Institution except in case of persons holding the post of Vocational Masters or Vocational Lecturer.
Experience: Should possess Teaching experience for a minimum period of 05 years as Headmaster/ Headmistress/ Lecturers/ Vocational Masters/ Lecturers or 07 years teaching experience in case of Masters/ Mistresses in any Government School.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 37 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100/- with Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-
2. HEAD MASTER/ HEAD MISTRESS
No. of Vacancies: 672 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) Passed Graduation at least with 55% marks from a recognized University or Institution.
ii) Passed B. Ed. from a recognized University or Institution.
Experience: Should possess Teaching experience for a minimum period of 08 years as Master/ Mistress or 06 years experience as Lecturer in any Government School.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 37 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800/- with Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
3. BLOCK PRIMARY EDUCATION OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 38 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) Passed Bachelor’s Degree with atleast 50% marks from a recognized University or Institution.
ii) Should possess 02 years Elementary Teacher’s Training course from a recognized University or institution or 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.) As per guidelines of the National Council for Teachers Education or Bachelor Degree in Education (B.Ed) from a recognized University or Institution.
Experience: Should possess Teaching Experience of working as Primary School Teacher for a minimum period of 05 years in a Central/ State Government School and must have acquired such experience after acquiring the minimum educational and professional qualifications.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 37 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800/- with Grade Pay Rs. 5000/-
The vacancies are in the Department of Education, Government of Punjab.
Note: Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent standard is essential for all posts. The selected candidates will be on Probation for a period of three years.
