PSSSB Clerk Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates aspiring to apply for the Clerk post under Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board must fulfil the academic, technical and age-related eligibility criteria. Candidates who apply without fulfilling the eligibility requirements will be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process.

Application Fee

Steps to Apply Online for PSSSB Recruitment 2026
- Visit the official website of the PSSSB: https://sssb.punjab.gov.in.
- On the homepage, click on the “Apply Online” link.
- Register yourself by clicking on “Registration” to generate a User ID and Password.
- Login with your User ID and Password.
- Fill in all the personal and educational information in the application form.
- Upload a scanned passport-size photograph (or capture live photo) and signature.
- Upload scanned copies of required certificates (10th certificate, educational qualifications, etc.).
- Pay the Application fee through the online payment gateway.

PSSSB Clerk Selection Process 2026
The final selection of the candidates will be based on a written examination and a typing test.
Written Examination
The written examination will be of objective type (Multiple Choice Questions) and will consist of two parts.

Typing Test
Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for a typing test. The typing test will be qualifying in nature.
- English Typing Speed: 30 words per minute
- Punjabi Typing Speed: 30 words per minute (in Unicode Compliant Font Raavi)
Final Merit List
A common merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in Part-B of the written examination, only for those candidates who qualify the Punjabi language paper (Part-A) and the typing test.
Tie-Breaker Criteria
If two or more candidates have equal marks, the following criteria will be used:
- Older candidate (by date of birth) will be given preference.
- If dates of birth are also equal, the candidate with higher percentage of marks in the required educational qualification will be preferred.
- If still tied, the candidate with higher matriculation marks will be preferred.
PSSSB Clerk Salary 2026
Selected candidates for the post of Clerk will get the salary according to the 7th Central Pay Commission. Candidates will also get various perks and allowances along with the salary.
