A candidate for direct recruitment must:
- Have passed the Senior Secondary Examination in Arts/Science/Commerce of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, or an equivalent examination recognised by the Government, or any Higher Examination; and
- Possess a good working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and of Rajasthani Dialects; and
- Have passed an “O” or Higher Level Certificate Course (DOEACC), OR COPA/DPCS certificate, OR Diploma in Computer Science/Computer Application, OR Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering from a Polytechnic, OR RSCIT, OR Senior Secondary with Computer Science as an optional subject, OR any equivalent/higher qualification.
Physical Fitness
The applicant must be mentally and physically fit, without any defect likely to interfere with the efficient discharge of duties. A medical fitness certificate from a notified medical authority is required at the time of selection.
Nationality
A candidate must be: (a) A citizen of India, or (b) A subject of Nepal, or (c) A subject of Bhutan. (Candidates under (b) and (c) must possess an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.)

A candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 40 years.
