The internship programme will run for a fixed duration. It will be conducted over a period of one month, tentatively between June and July 2026. Selected candidates will be placed at the Rono Hills campus in Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh.
Interns will work closely with Project PIs and Co-PIs. They will observe and assist in data collection and fieldwork. The programme aims to build practical understanding of research documentation and findings. It also focuses on interdisciplinary research methods and networking.

Eligibility criteria and roles for different streams
The programme is open to students from specific academic backgrounds. Social Science students form the entirety of applicants. Under Graduate students enrolled as per NEP 2020 are given preference.
Eligible disciplines include any Social Science subject at the Undergraduate or Postgraduate level. Applicants must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a research environment.
Social Science interns will assist in literature reviews and data management. They will also participate in team discussions, field activities, and workshops. Interns must maintain strict confidentiality and professional ethics throughout the tenure.
Rajiv Gandhi University Summer Internship Stipend, certificate and intake details
Selected interns will receive professional recognition during the programme. There is no financial commitment from RGU, and the position is primarily unpaid. However, TA/DA may be provided during the internship period. Candidates will receive certificates of participation after successful completion.
