The vacancies are under different projects on Contractual basis. 1. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Project name: “Network project on Organic Farming”.
Educational Qualification: i) Master’s degree in Agronomy/ Soil Science/ Soil Physics/ Soil Microbiology/ Agroforestry/ Horticulture/ Vegetable Science/ Entomology/ Pathology with 04 years/ 05 years of Bachelor’s degree.
ii) Candidate having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 03 years Bachelor’s degree and 02 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification.
Desirable: i) Experience in working with different modern equipment’s for soil and plant analysis.
ii) Management of field crops in organic condition.
iii) Sound knowledge on Microsoft office.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (40 years for Women) as on 30/01/2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 25,000/- for 1st & 2nd year and Rs. 28,000/- for 3rd year per month.
2. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Project name: ICAR funded Network Project on AMAAS entitled “Developing PGPR consortia for enhanced micronutrient (iron and zinc) uptake and yield of finger millet (Eleusine coracana) in hilly areas”.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Agricultural Microbiology/ Microbiology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biotechnology (for candidates with 04 years/ 05 years of Bachelor’s degree).
OR
Master’s degree in Agricultural Microbiology/ Microbiology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biotechnology with NET qualification (for candidates with 03 years Bachelor’s degree and 02 years Master’s degree).
Desirable: i) Knowledge and hands on work experience on isolation, characterization of microorganism and screening for PGP traits etc.
ii) Well acquainted with Molecular techniques.
iii) Basic knowledge of computer etc.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (40 years for Women) as on 30/01/2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 25,000/- for 1st & 2nd year and Rs. 28,000/- for 3rd year per month.
3. SKILLED HELP/LAB/ FIELD ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Project name: “CRP on Agrobiodiversity-Wheat”.
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline of Biological Sciences (Plant Sciences).
Desirable: Knowledge and experience of field work in wheat crops.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (40 years for Women) as on 30/01/2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 12,000/- per month.
4. SKILLED HELP/LAB/ FIELD ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Project name: “ICAR Seed Project (Revolving Fund)”.
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any subject with Intermediate in Science.
Desirable: i) Experience in seed production of hill crops, store keeping and records maintenance.
ii) Working knowledge of computer applications.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (40 years for Women) as on 30/01/2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 12,000/- per month.
5. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Project name: “National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystems (NMHSE) Taskforce 6 for lower and middle Himalayan Agriculture”.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Degree (04 years bachelor degree/ candidate with 03 years Bachelor’s degree, should have NET qualified and two years master degree) in Soil and water conservation Engineering/ Irrigation and Drainage Engineering/ Water Resources Development/ Farm Machinery/ Environmental Science.
Desirable: i) Work experience in conducting experiments on crop cultivation and evaluation/ Socio economic survey, data compilation and analysis.
ii) Net qualified candidates will be given preference.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (40 years for Women) as on 30/01/2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 25000/- initially per month.
The vacancies are under different projects on Contractual basis.
The place of work of selected candidates will be at ICAR – Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan (VPKAS), Almora/ Hawalbagh (Uttarakhand) or the project site.
