Important: Part A and Part B Qualifying Rule

CBT 2 has two parts. Part A is used for merit, while Part B is qualifying in nature.

As per CEN conditions, candidates who scored above the cut off in Part A but did not qualify Part B have not been shortlisted. So, even a high Part A score does not guarantee a place in the list if Part B was not cleared.

Shortlisted candidates will now appear in the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), which can be held any time after 25th October. RRBs will inform candidates through website, SMS and email to download the city intimation slip about 10 days before the exam.

Candidature at this stage is purely provisional. It can be cancelled at any stage if any inconsistency in data or malpractice is found. Being called for CBAT does not give any right to appointment in the Railways.

RRB ALP Selection Process (CEN 01/2025):

  1. CBT 1
  2. CBT 2
  3. CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test)

Beware of touts: The RRB recruitment process is fully computerised and selection is based only on merit. Do not trust anyone who promises a job in exchange for money.
