RSMSSB 4th Grade Syllabus 2025 PDF: Revised Exam Pattern

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has issued an employment notification for the recruitment of 53,749 Group D/Class 4 staff on a direct basis. Along with the recruitment notice, RSSB has also published the latest exam pattern and the updated RSMSSB 4th Grade Syllabus 2025 on its official website, rssb.rajasthan.gov.in.

Candidates can visit the official website to download the official notification, in which the whole exam pattern and syllabus have been described in a proper format. This is a great opportunity for those who have passed Matriculation or 10th class standard from the state of Rajasthan and are looking for a government job in their respective state.

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board is going to conduct the exam from 18th September, 2025 to 21st September, 2025.

As you know, you have only a few months left to prepare for the exam. In this post, I am going to describe the newly updated syllabus and revised exam pattern in detail.

Let’s break it down step by step.

RSMSSB 4th Grade Syllabus 2025 – Newly Updated and Revised

The Rajasthan Grade 4 syllabus is structured into four sections:

General Hindi
General English
General Knowledge
General Mathematics

The total time duration of the exam is 2 hours. The exam will be conducted for a total of 200 marks, consisting of 120 objective-type questions. A total of 120 objective-type questions will be asked from the four sections mentioned above.

There is also negative marking in the exam. About 1/3rd marks will be deducted for each wrong answer you make. I think you should attempt only those questions you are sure about. Otherwise, you can skip those questions which you think you are not confident about and move on to the next question.

If you follow the revised exam pattern described in the official notification, you can notice:

The number of questions in General Hindi has been reduced to 20, which was earlier 30 in the old pattern.
The number of questions in General Mathematics has also been reduced to 15 in place of 25.
But the number of questions in General Knowledge has been increased to 70 in place of 50 in the old exam pattern.

Rajasthan 4th Grade Exam Pattern 2025 Revised

If you are going to appear for the Rajasthan 4th Grade exam, you should first know how the exam is going to be. It will help you to prepare yourself for the exam in the right way.

The exam will have multiple choice questions (you have to choose the correct answer from 4 options). The total time for the exam is 2 hours.

You will get marks for every right answer, but you have to be very careful about attempting those answers you are not fully confident about. If you give a wrong answer, 1/3 mark will be deducted. So, it’s better to skip those questions you are not so sure about.

If you follow the revised exam pattern closely, it tells you how many questions are there, how many marks, the total time duration of the exam, and what kind of questions will come.

RSMSSB 4th Grade Syllabus 2025 – Subject Wise Analysis

The Rajasthan 4th Grade Syllabus consists of four sections, i.e. General Hindi, General English, General Knowledge, and General Mathematics.

The level of the question paper will be set according to the standard of the 10th class board exam of Rajasthan.

As far as I researched about the old year exam pattern and syllabus of the RSMSSB, I noticed that you have to make a strong command on those subjects which are designed to score well, i.e. General Mathematics and General English.

If you put a little bit of effort into the other two subjects, known as General Hindi and General Knowledge, you can also achieve a decent amount of score on those two subjects.

So, do not underestimate any part of your syllabus. Pay enough attention to each section of the syllabus to score well in the exam.
