SECL Apprentice Vacancy 2026 Breakdown
A total of 1600 seats are available for apprenticeship training, distributed across Graduate and Technician categories with reservations as per government norms (General: 50%, SC: 19%, OBC: 17%, ST: 14%).

Eligibility Criteria for SECL Apprentice Recruitment 2026
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
Educational Qualification (as on last date of application):
- Graduate Apprentices: 4-year Degree (for Engineering) / 3-year Degree (for General Streams) from a recognized institution.
- Technician Apprentices: 3-year Diploma in relevant Engineering branch (3 years after 10th or 2 years after 12th with lateral entry). One-year Diploma is not allowed.
- Mode: Only through Regular (Full-time) mode of education.
Year of Passing: Candidates should not have passed their qualifying degree/diploma more than 5 years before the date of joining as an apprentice.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years as of the last date of application (31.03.2026).

Selection Process
The selection will be based on the following criteria:
Shortlisting Basis: Candidates are shortlisted based on the date of passing in the qualifying degree/diploma. Earlier passed candidates are placed higher.
Tie-Breaker: In case of a tie, the following order is used:
- Higher percentage of marks in Degree/Diploma.
- Higher percentage in 12th /10th.
- Older date of birth.
Level-Wise Selection:
- Level-1: Candidates from Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
- Level-2: Candidates from other states (including other Western Region states) are considered after exhausting Level-1 candidates.
- Provisional List: The provisional selection list will be uploaded on the SECL website in the 2nd week of April 2026.
