North Western Railway is inviting application for recruitment of Sports person against Sports Quota for Group-C and erstwhile Group-D posts. Employment Notice No. 02/2013(Sports). Interested and eligible sportsperson may apply on prescribed application format. Eligibility and qualification norms in brief details is given below —

1. Atheletics: 4 men and 4 women.
2. Basketball: 4 men.
3. Boxing: 1 men and 1 women.
4. Hockey: 6 men.
5. Wrestling: 2 men.
6. Archery: 3 men.
7. Cycling: 1 men.
8. Golf: 1 men.
9. Kabaddi: 1 men.

ELIGIBILITY NORMS:
I. Norms for Group „C‟ recruitment (5 posts) in PB 1 5,200-20,200 Grade pay 2,400/2,800
Educational Qualification: Graduate
II. Norms for Group „C‟ recruitment (16 posts) in PB 1 5,200-20,200 Grade Pay 1,900/2,000
Educational Qualification: Minimum SSC / Matriculate.
III. Norms for Erstwhile Group “D‟ recruitment (33 posts) in PB-1 5,200-20,200 Grade Pay 1,800/–
Educational Qualification: Minimum 10th pass or ITI or equivalent.
Sports Eligibility (for all): Candidates must have represented the country / State/ District in National or International level sports. (Please see the officially released advertisement from the below link for details)
Age Limit : Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs and Others – As per norms.
Examination Fee: Rs.60/- for Group C posts and Rs.40/- for Group D posts in form of Demand Draft/ Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of respective Unit/ Division/ Workshop (See the below Advt. link)
How to Apply: Apply on prescribed application format along with attested copies of testimonials in support of eligibility.
The application should be sent by ORDINARY POST only in a closed envelope or to drop in the application box provided for the purpose in the respective address.
On the top of the envelope “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2013-14” should be subscribed.
