Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2015 for recruitment to 6578 posts of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators and Lower Divisional Clerks. 1. POSTAL ASSISTANT/ SORTING ASSISTANT
Number of Vacancies: 3523 Nos.

2. DATA ENTRY OPERATOR
Number of Vacancies: 2049 Nos.

3. LOWER DIVISION CLERK
Number of Vacancies: 1006 Nos.

 

Educational Qualification (For all above posts) ( As on 01.08.2015): Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

 

Age Limit: 18-27 years as on 01.08.2015 (Candidates born not before 02-08-1988 and not later than 01-08-1997). Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Widow/Divorced women/legally separated women – 08yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Pay of the Posts:
Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant— PB -1(Rs. 5200-20200) Grade Pay 2400
Data Entry Operator — Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 2400
Data Entry Operator — Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 1900
Lower Division Clerk — Pay Band -1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 1900

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Skill Test for the post of Data Entry Operator and Written Test and Typing Test for the post of Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) and Lower Division Clerk on Computer.

Written Test will be Objective type of 200 marks on following subjects — (i) General Intelligence, (ii) English Language, (iii) Quantitive Aptitude and (iv) General Awareness. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi.

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test/Typing Test on the basis of their performance in the Written Examination.

Examination will be at various Centres of SSC across the Country. Candidates may choose their examination centre while filling the Application form.

Examination for the post of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators and Lower Divisional Clerks will be on Sundays 01.11.2015, 15.11.2015 and 22.11.2015 respectively.

Application Fee: Rs.100/- is to be paid online (if applying online) by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or can be paid by means of SBI challan which will be generated during submission of online Application form.

Candidates applying offline shall pay the Fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. These stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. These Recruitment Fee Stamps may be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose. These Recruitment Stamps must be got cancelled from the Counter Clerks of any Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Office.

APPLICATION FEE IS EXEMPTED FOR ALL WOMEN CANDIDATES AND CANDIDATES BELONGING TO SCHEDULED CASTE, SCHEDULED TRIBE, PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED AND EX-SERVICEMEN
