Secretariat Security Force Constable Tradesman Selection Process 2026
The recruitment follows a multi-stage selection process designed to assess candidates’ physical fitness, trade skills, and overall suitability for the role. Candidates must qualify at each stage to proceed further.
Phase I – PET & PST: The Physical Efficiency Test includes a 1.6 km race (to be completed within 7 minutes 30 seconds), Long Jump (11 feet, 3 chances), and High Jump (3½ feet, 3 chances). PET is qualifying in nature. Candidates who clear PET will undergo PST for height, chest, and weight measurements. Note: PET is not applicable for Ex-Servicemen.
Phase II – Written Examination (50 Marks): Candidates who qualify PST will appear for an objective-type written examination of 50 questions in 1 hour.
Phase III – Trade Test (50 Marks): Candidates who qualify the written exam (up to 10 times the category-wise vacancies) will be called for the Trade Test. Qualifying marks are 50% for all categories.
Medical Examination: Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the written examination merit list will undergo Verification of Original Documents followed by a Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
