The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has officially released the detailed notification for the Telangana Law Common Entrance Test (TG LAWCET) 2026 and the Telangana Postgraduate Law Common Entrance Test (TG PGLCET) 2026. Conducted by Osmania University on behalf of TGCHE, these exams serve as the gateway for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs in state universities and affiliated colleges across Telangana for the academic year 2026–27.
Prospective law aspirants can now apply online through the official portal, lawcet.tgche.ac.in, with the registration window opening today, February 10, 2026.
TG LAWCET & PGLCET 2026: An Overview
The TG LAWCET 2026 is conducted for admission into 3-year and 5-year LL.B. courses, while the TG PGLCET 2026 is for admission into LL.M. programs. The exams are highly competitive and form the basis for admissions to law colleges across Telangana.

TG LAWCET 2026 and TG PGLCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For 3-Year LL.B. Course:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognized university.
Minimum marks required:
- General Category: 45% (44.5% and above considered)
- OBC Category: 42% (41.5% and above considered)
- SC/ST Category: 40% (39.5% and above considered)
- Candidates with lower graduation marks may qualify with a higher percentage in Post Graduation or B.Ed.
For 5-Year LL.B. Course:
Must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent.
Minimum marks required:
- General Category: 45% (44.5% and above considered)
- OBC Category: 42% (41.5% and above considered)
- SC/ST Category: 40% (39.5% and above considered)
For LL.M. (TG PGLCET):
- Must hold an LL.B./B.L. degree or be appearing in the final year.
Note: There is no upper age limit for appearing in TG LAWCET 2026, as per Bar Council of India guidelines.

- Visit the official website: lawcet.tgche.ac.in
- Click on the TG LAWCET / TG PGLCET 2026 Registration link.
- Fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
- Select the desired course (3-year/5-year LL.B. or LL.M.).
- Upload scanned photograph and signature as per specifications.
- Pay the application fee online via debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.
- Submit the form and save/print the confirmation page.
A correction window will be available after the registration period for editing selected details.
TG LAWCET 2026 and TG PGLCET 2026 Exam Centers
The exam will be conducted across 17 regional test centers in Telangana, including Hyderabad (multiple zones), Warangal, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Mahabubnagar, and others. The convener reserves the right to add or remove centers.
TG LAWCET 2026 and TG PGLCET 2026 Admission Process
Merely qualifying in the entrance test does not guarantee admission. Candidates must:
- Attend the counseling process at notified centers.
- Apply in response to the admission notification issued by the concerned authority.
- Fulfill all eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
Admissions will be based on merit rank obtained in the entrance test, followed by seat allocation through counseling.
