Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), has officially released the notification for the Telangana Post-Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TG PGECET) 2026. The online registration process for aspiring engineers, pharmacists, and architects will commence on 27th February 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website until 6th May 2026, without any late fee.
TG PGECET Exam Date 2026
The TG PGECET 2026 will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) over four days. The examination is scheduled to take place from 28th May 2026 to 31st May 2026. Candidates must download their hall tickets from the website and report to the designated exam center well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.

How to Apply for TS PGECET 2026
The application process is completely online. No offline mode of application submission will be accepted. Candidates can follow the steps below to apply:
Step 1: Visit the official website of TG PGECET at pgecet.tgche.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the link for “Online Application Submission” for TG PGECET-2026.
Step 3: Register by providing your name, valid email ID, phone number, and other required details.
Step 4: Fill in the application form with your personal, educational, and communication details.
Step 5: Pay the registration fee online through the payment gateway using a Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or TG Online.
Step 6: Upload scanned copies of your recent photograph and signature in the prescribed format (JPEG/JPG, within specified size limits).
Step 7: Preview the completed application form to verify all details are correct before submitting it.

TG PGECET Application Fee 2026
The registration fee is non-refundable and must be paid at the time of online application submission. For each test a candidate wishes to appear for, a separate fee must be paid.
- General / OBC Candidates: Rs. 1100/-
- SC / ST / PWD Candidates: Rs. 600/-
TG PGECET Eligibility Criteria 2025
Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements before applying. The basic eligibility criteria are as follows:
Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as per the Telangana state norms.
Educational Qualification:
- For M.E./M.Tech.: Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in the relevant discipline.
- For M.Pharm.: Candidates must have a B.Pharm. degree.
- For M.Arch.: Candidates must have a B.Arch. degree.
- For Pharm. D (P.B.): Candidates must have a Pharm. D degree.
Minimum Marks: Candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) in the qualifying examination. Relaxations are applicable as per government rules.

TG PGECET Exam Pattern 2026
The entrance test will be conducted online as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The key features of the exam pattern are:

- Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Total Marks: 120 Marks
- Number of Questions: 120 Questions
- Marking Scheme: Each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking.
TS PGECET 2026 Ranking and Admission
Ranks will be awarded based on the performance in the TG PGECET-2026. It is important to note that admission to M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm. courses is a two-step process:
- Candidates with valid GATE/GPAT scores are given priority for seat allotment.
- Any vacant seats remaining after the admission of GATE/GPAT qualified candidates will be filled by candidates based on their rank/percentile score in the TG PGECET-2026.
- A separate notification will be issued for GATE/GPAT qualified candidates to register for the counseling process.
