TNEA Rank List 2026 link was activated on 1st July 2026 on the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) Tamil Nadu official website. The rank list has been released for all approximately 2.45 lakh candidates who applied for engineering admissions this year. The rank list includes the merit position of candidates based on their Class 12 marks after applying the prescribed normalisation process.
The rank list, which was initially scheduled for release on June 29, was deferred to July 1. This decision was made to accommodate candidates affected by the CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation results announced on June 21, 2026.
Tamil Nadu TNEA Rank List 2026 Out
The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions rank list was prepared based on candidates’ Class 12 marks after applying the prescribed normalisation process. The marks are standardised and reduced to a total score of 200 marks for ranking purposes. Step 1: Visit the official website of the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) Tamil Nadu at tneaonline.org.
Step 2: Look for the link related to the “TNEA Rank List 2026” under “Latest Announcements” on the homepage.
Step 3: Click on the link, and a new login page appears on the screen.
Step 4: Enter valid login details i.e., registered email ID/application number and password and click on the submit tab.

What Happens After the Rank List Publication?
Following the publication of the merit list, the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) is expected to release the detailed counselling schedule. Here’s what candidates can expect:
1. Grievance Redressal Period: Candidates will first be allowed to raise grievances regarding their rank if any discrepancies exist. Grievances will be accepted until 06-07-2026.
2. Online Counselling: After the grievance redressal process concludes, online counselling will begin with choice filling, where candidates can enter their preferred colleges and branches in order of priority.
3. Seat Allotment: Seats will be allotted based on the candidate’s rank, reservation category, preferences, and seat availability.
4. Certificate Verification: The certificate verification process was extended to June 29 to ensure all pending verifications are settled before the rank list finalisation.
