Educational & Technical Qualification
- General: A Degree awarded by any university in India (established/incorporated by a Central Act, Provincial Act, or State Act), or an Institution recognised by the UGC, or an equivalent qualification, as on the date of Notification (29th July 2026).
- Post Code 17 (Station Fire Officer): Candidates must additionally possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence as on the date of Notification.
Medical Standards
- Eyesight: Distant Vision 6/6 in each eye; Near Vision 0.5 in each eye (Snellen). Each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid condition of the eye/lids is disqualifying.
- Candidates must possess sound health, free from bodily defects such as physically handicapped conditions, knock-knees, pigeon chest, flat foot, varicose veins, hammer toes, fractured limbs, decayed teeth, stammering, hard of hearing, or abnormal psychological behaviour.

What is the Selection Process for TSLPRB SI Recruitment 2026
A) Preliminary Written Test (PWT)
A single objective-type paper of 3 hours, comprising Arithmetic & Test of Reasoning/Mental Ability (100 questions) and General Studies (100 questions), for a total of 200 marks. Minimum qualifying marks: 30% for OCs (including EWS), 25% for BCs, and 20% for SCs/STs/Ex-Servicemen. Negative marking of 20% of full marks applies for each wrong answer.
B) Physical Measurement Test (PMT) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Run Event: Men must complete 1600 metres within 7 minutes 15 seconds (9 minutes 30 seconds for Ex-Servicemen); Women must complete 800 metres within 5 minutes 20 seconds. The event is qualifying in nature for Post Codes 11, 17, 18, and 19, and marks-based for Post Codes 12, 13, 14, and 16 (with normalization for 12 & 16).
- Height: Men — minimum 167.6 cms (160 cms for ST/Aboriginal Tribe candidates of specified Agency Areas); Women — minimum 152.5 cms (150 cms for the same relaxed category).
- Long Jump & Shot-put: Qualifying in nature — Long Jump: 4m (Men-General), 3.50m (Men-Ex-Servicemen), 2.50m (Women); Shot-put (7.26 kg Men/4 kg Women): 6m (Men), 4m (Women).
C) Final Written Examination (FWE)
