UPSC CAPF AC Selection Process 2026
The selection process for UPSC CAPF AC Recruitment 2026 comprises multiple stages designed to identify the most suitable candidates for the prestigious post of Assistant Commandant.
Stage 1: Written Examination (19th July 2026)
The written examination will be conducted by UPSC and comprises two papers:

Minimum Qualifying Marks: There will be minimum qualifying marks separately in each Paper as may be fixed by the Commission. Paper I will be evaluated first, and evaluation of Paper II will be done only for candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks in Paper I.
Stage 2: Physical Standards Tests (PST) / Physical Efficiency Tests (PET)
Candidates declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physical Standards Tests and Physical Efficiency Tests. These tests will be conducted under the supervision of a Nodal Authority appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Stage 4: Medical Standards Tests
Medical Standards Tests will be conducted only for candidates who have appeared in the Interview/Personality Test. These tests will check the standards specified in Appendix-V of the notification. Appeals against Medical Standards Tests can be made to the Appellate Authority designated by MHA within 24 hours after declaration of DME results.
Stage 5: Final Selection/Merit List
The merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test. Candidates who do not satisfy medical standards will not be appointed.
