How to Apply for UPSSSC Fireman Recruitment 2026?
Candidates must apply for the recruitment through online mode only. Candidates can complete their application process by following the steps given below:
- Open any internet browser and go to the official website of UPSSSC: https://upsssc.gov.in.
- On the homepage, click on the “Live Advertisement” segment and download Advertisement No. 09-Exam/2026.
- Click on the “Apply Online” link for the relevant advertisement.
- Login using your PET-2025 Registration Number. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number and email for authentication.
- Upon login, your personal details (name, father’s name, date of birth, category, etc.) from PET-2025 will be auto-filled.
- Select the posts (Guard and/or Fireman) you wish to apply for. You must provide your educational qualification details for the selected posts.
- Enter preference for posts if applying for both.

UPSSSC Fireman Selection Process
UPSSSC will select candidates through a multi-stage process:
- Shortlisting for Main Exam: Based on the normalized score of UPSSSC PET-2025. Candidates with zero or negative marks in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted.
- Main Written Examination: A 100-question, 2-hour objective exam with negative marking (0.25 marks per wrong answer). Subjects include History, Geography, Polity, Science, Current Events, Computer Knowledge, and Uttar Pradesh General Knowledge.
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Candidates who qualify in the written exam will undergo a Physical Measurement Test (height, chest for male, weight for female). This is qualifying in nature.
- Final Merit List: Prepared based on marks obtained in the Main Written Examination, provided the candidate meets the physical standards.
UPSSSC Fireman Salary 2026
The selected candidates will be appointed at Pay Level-3 with a pay scale of ₹21,700 – ₹69,100. In addition to the basic pay, they will be entitled to various allowances as per government rules.
