A total of 1536 vacancies have been announced: 1156 posts through the Combined Junior Engineer (Mechanical) Main Examination under Advt. No. 24-Exam/2026, and 380 posts through the Combined Junior Engineer (Electrical) Main Examination under Advt. No. 25-Exam/2026.
Only candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) and received a scorecard can apply. Diploma holders in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering can apply for the Mechanical posts from 3 to 25 November 2026, and Electrical Engineering diploma holders can apply for the Electrical posts from 6 to 27 November 2026. The application fee is only Rs. 25 for all categories.

How to Apply
- Go to upsssc.gov.in and open Advt. No. 24-Exam/2026 (Mechanical) or 25-Exam/2026 (Electrical) under the Live Advertisement Segment.
- Log in with your PET-2025 Registration Number, using the OTP sent to the mobile number/email registered in PET-2025.
- Your personal details, photo, and signature from PET-2025 will appear automatically.
- Select the posts you want to apply for.
- Choose Yes/No for each educational qualification and enter board/university, year of passing, certificate/roll number, date of issue, and marks.
- Choose Yes/No for preferential qualifications (if any), read the declaration, tick all boxes, and click Save and Submit.
- Pay Rs. 25 by Credit/Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan before the last date.
- After successful payment, the form is submitted automatically. Download and print the application form.

UPSSSC JE Selection Process
Under the selection of candidates for JE posts, candidates have to undergo the following stages of the selection process:
Stage 1 → Shortlisting on PET-2025 Normalized Score

Stage 2 → Written Exam
↓
Stage 3 → Document Verification

Final Selection
Shortlisting is done on the PET-2025 normalized score, 15 times the number of vacancies, category-wise. The selection is based on the written exam. Posts are allotted on the basis of merit, preference, availability, qualification, and age limit.
UPSSSC JE Exam Pattern 2026
Both exams have one paper of 100 objective questions (1 mark each) in 2 hours, with 1/4 negative marking for each wrong answer.

UPSSSC JE Important Instructions
- Candidates who are not domiciles of Uttar Pradesh do not get reservation and are treated as Unreserved.
- For women candidates of UP, only a caste certificate issued from the father’s side is valid.
- Ex-Servicemen who retire by the last date of application can claim reservation.
- Date of birth as recorded in the High School certificate will be accepted.
- Candidates working in Central or State Government service must get an NOC from their employer.
- The exams are governed by the UP Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
- The Commission does not send personal letters. All updates are posted on upsssc.gov.in.
- Corrections can be made till 2 December 2026 (Mechanical) and 4 December 2026 (Electrical), by logging in to the Applicant’s Dashboard and clicking Modify Application.
- Only one application per advertisement is accepted. If you submit more than one, only the last one counts.
- EWS candidates need an EWS certificate issued between 1 April 2026 and the last date of application, based on income of FY 2025-26.
