VECC JRF Selection Process 2026

The selection of candidates for Junior Research Fellowships will be based on a two-step process. Candidates must qualify at each stage to be selected.

  1. Application Scrutiny & Shortlisting: Applications will be scrutinized based on eligibility criteria, performance in the national-level examination (CSIR-NET/JEST/GATE), and marks in the qualifying examination. If the number of applications is large, VECC will adopt shortlisting criteria based on percentage of marks or national exam scores to restrict the number of candidates called for interview.
  2. Offline Interview (Physical Mode Only): Short-listed candidates will be called for an offline interview at the Bidhan Nagar campus of VECC, Kolkata. The interview is tentatively scheduled for 19th – 24th June 2026.
  3. Final Selection: Final selection will be based only on the performance of the candidate in the selection interview. The recommendation of the Selection Committee will be final and binding.
