WBCS Prelims Exam Time 2026
The exam will be held in a single shift across all centres. Candidates must note that entry at the examination venue will be closed at 11:30 AM, i.e., 30 minutes before the start of the exam. Latecomers will not be permitted under any circumstances.

WBCS Prelims Exam Centres 2026
As per the advertisement, the Preliminary Examination will be held at various centres in Kolkata and certain other districts of West Bengal. Candidates belonging to Darjeeling district and the three hill sub-divisions (Darjeeling Sadar, Mirik, Kurseong) may opt for the Darjeeling centre, while candidates from Kalimpong district may opt for the Kalimpong centre. The Commission may allot an adjacent centre if the opted centre is not feasible.
